Cheddar Valley u3a took to the airways as a team from the group joined Simon Parkin on Radio Somerset, took part in his mid morning quiz, achieved third place and qualified for the next round. This helped publicise the Open Day, which was a great success with many of the large number of visitors becoming members after discovering what we have to offer.

It’s Official – Axbridge District Rotary has been chartered! On 29th February the Club was chartered meaning that Axbridge District Rotary is a Rotary Club of its own standing and we are looking forward to continuing our community supporting and charity fundraising activities.
Our next ‘big’ fundraiser is a Charity Quiz Night on 11th May at Shipham Village Hall – Full details will be on our Facebook page in due course.
The committee of Loxton Village Hall are thrilled to have been awarded a £20,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, which will be used to upgrade and refit the kitchen area. We hope this will improve existing events and allow us to add new events to our itinerary.
