RNLI Winscombe will hold a Special Bicentennial Plant & Garden Equipment Sale on Saturday 25th May at 10:00am at Winscombe Community Centre, Sandford Road, Winscombe, BS25 1HP. Stalls will sell Greenhouse plants; Runner and French beans and Courgettes; Bedding plants and garden fillers; Acers and shrubs; garden jumble,  patio items and tubs; garden & domestic tools; and guest stalls all at ‘Give-Away’ prices. There will be beverages and hot dogs.

Isle of Wedmore Society’s May meeting will take place on Thursday 23rd May at 7:30pm in the Wedmore Masonic Hall, when Phil Butterworth will talk on ‘A home through time’ being an account of history, from around 1750, of his home.

Saturday 18th May “Vintage Cheddar” at The Church Centre, 52 Woodborough Road BS25 1BA.

Winscombe Folk Club is staging a Rock Concert / Dance – yep a leap into the unknown but all in aid or the RNLI which is celebrating 200 years of saving lives.

The “Vintage Cheddar” Rock Band will perform songs from Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and of course the Beatles and ABBA plus many more.

CHARITIES DAY – Saturday 18th May – 10:00am – 2:00pm,  Banwell Scout Hut. Entry is FREE. Various Charities selling items to raise funds for their organisations. Refreshments will be served throughout the event including filled rolls and home-made cakes.

This month Cheddar Vale Lions Club are presenting their 3rd Annual Country Music Festival on 18th and 19th May at Petruth Paddocks Campsite in Cheddar. You can come and camp for the weekend (Friday – Sunday) or just come for a day. For full details visit our website – www.cheddarvalelions.org.uk

RAFA-MSB next Branch Meeting is on Monday 13th May at 11:00 am in Wells Golf Club, Blackheath Lane, Wells, BA5 3DS. The Meeting will include a Presentation by a Guest Speaker. The meeting will conclude with an option for a Pub Lunch and drinks from the Golf Club Menu and bar.

This months Axbridge Royal British Legion meeting will be on Tuesday 7th May at 11:00am in The Lamb Inn, Axbridge. The Speaker will be from The Commonwealth War Graves Commission outlining what the Commission is all about and what it does.
